I. Our commitment
The Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) specifies that the duty of an employer is to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety, and welfare at work of all employees.
Envision Pharma Group ("EPG") is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all employees, working either on-site at a company location or remotely. It recognizes the unique challenges and responsibilities associated with remote working and outlines the necessary measures to create a safe and inclusive work environment.
II. Our policy
The Health and Safety Policy for this office states that EPG will aim to:
- Provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from work activities
- Consult with all employees on matters affecting their health and safety and provide comprehensive information and instructions
- Ensure that all employees are competent to carry out the tasks assigned to them and to provide adequate training or supervision as required
- Put adequate procedures in place to prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health
- Require new starters to complete a display screen equipment (DSE) and risk assessment course, and remind employees annually to reassess if there has been a change to their working environment
- Make reasonable provision for adjustments to office or home equipment set up for any employee with a disability
- Provide IT support to enhance the office and remote work experience
- Establish clear communication channels to ensure employees working remotely stay connected with their team and are aware of important updates
- Encourage teams to schedule regular virtual meetings to maintain team cohesion and facilitate collaboration
- Communicate and strictly enforce guidelines for handling and protecting sensitive information
- Promote Wellness and Mental Health Champions and provide the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support mental health
- Review and revise this policy at regular intervals
III. Employee responsibilities
The success of this policy is dependent upon the cooperation of every EPG employee who is a user of this office or working remotely. Consequently, everyone has a duty to:
- Take reasonable precautions to safeguard the health and safety of themselves and others
- Observe all health and safety rules and procedures
- Use any health and safety equipment provided
- Establish clear boundaries between work and personal life to avoid burnout
- Arrange regular check-ins with team members and line managers to establish support and foster a sense of community
- Ensure the security of company-provided devices and adherence to information security protocols
- Comply with this policy and any additional policies and procedures provided by EPG
- Alert management to any potential health and safety hazards
- Report all accidents and incidents that have led, or may lead to, illness or damage
IV. Reporting
Promptly report any health or safety concerns to:
- Your affiliated Office Manager (Facilities and Operations)
- Kylie Turner (Global Associate Director, Facilities and Operations)
