Modern slavery statement
Modern slavery is an international crime affecting millions of people around the world. It is a growing global issue that transcends age, gender and ethnicities. Slavery includes victims trafficked from overseas and vulnerable people who are forced illegally to work against their will across many different sectors.
Envision Pharma Group is a global leader within medical affairs. It is a full service medical strategy and communications agency that also offers purpose-built software to be used throughout the pharmaceutical product life cycle. Envision Pharma Group has employees worldwide. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and strive to act ethically and with integrity in all of our business dealings.
Given that we are an organisation providing services, our suppliers typically include, for example, the landlords of our premises, utilities and providers of IT equipment. In light of the nature of our business and the fact that we have a relatively short supply chain, we assess the risk of modern slavery within our context to be low. However, we consider modern slavery to be a fundamental issue and are committed to ensuring that it does not take place anywhere within our business or our supply chain.
Our workplace
We are dedicated to maintaining a fair and ethical workplace for all our team members.
We ensure compliance with all applicable employment legislation relating to employee recruitment and employment terms, including “right to work” evidence and our offering of competitive compensation and benefits which are reviewed annually. Our Grievance and Whistleblowing policies enable concerns to be raised and resolved effectively.
Supplier due diligence
We expect all our contractors and suppliers to prevent modern slavery, by ensuring all of their employees and workers are treated with dignity and respect in a fair and ethical working environment.
Our procurement process includes vetting of suppliers. Suppliers will be assessed according to the level of risk posed and an assessment will be made as to whether any action is required.
Training
It is important that our team members are aware of the issues surrounding modern slavery and support Envision’s values. We will be rolling out training to relevant employees to ensure awareness of our zero-tolerance policy and the process of reporting any concerns.
Review
Envision is fully committed to its anti-slavery obligations. To that end, we commit to an ongoing annual assessment of our policies and practices to review relevance to their effectiveness at combating slavery and human trafficking.
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act of 2015 and has been approved by our Board of Directors.
